It’s been some time since I have blogged, and am feeling compelled to get the ball rolling again with my random thoughts and topics. I’ll start it off with a bit more serious of a tone for a post just for fun……. Cause you know….. the world feels pretty serious right now. Don’t worry I’ll lighten the mood a bit in the future!
I’m entering a season of life where you might hear me say no to things I previously said yes to. It’s a season where my goals and needs take up more personal space from me than in the past. Where I’m willing and ready to do what I need to do to put myself first, all while trying my best to find balance with those I love. It’s not easy, it’s hard, it’s complicated, it’s messy but it’s also beautiful. We’ve all been through similar seasons. Growth and change are natural in life. Its ok to prioritize yourself for whatever goals you want to achieve or to take up more time or use space differently for what you need in life. I know there will be people who don’t understand, who just don’t get it, who don’t agree, or who choose not to engage with me as we used to. There will always be those people. I’m not “ok” with it, but I understand it is what it is. We can not change other people. We all have different views on how life should be lived, for ourselves and how we think others should live their lives. My intentions are good and I have love in my heart, as I assume most others do as well. In times of change sometimes we see ourselves differently, we see people differently, we see the world differently. No one person stays the same forever. We ebb and flow through these seasons of life. These seasons look different for everyone. Let’s celebrate change and growth with patience and understanding of ourselves and each other. Look at the bigger picture in life. Sometimes these seasons are placed on accident or are intentionally planned. Either way embrace what they mean for us, what lessons we learn and what they let us see and feel. Moving forward with an open mind……. Let’s kick ass in this world everybody!!
